Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is recruiting an Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to serve as the founding Program and Surgical Director of a new transplant center in Toledo, Ohio.  Starting with kidney, and with the potential to develop other abdominal transplant programs, this role is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified surgical leader to lead the start-up of a new transplant center.

Minimum Qualifications

• Provide administrative oversight and leadership that supports Mercy’s faith-based Mission and values

• Qualify as Primary Kidney Transplant Surgeon under OPTN/UNOS Bylaws

• Partner with a new Medical Director to build a cohesive multidisciplinary team and develop transplant policies & protocols

• Ensure collaboration and communication with referring providers

• Eligible for teaching on the GME Program
